He mentioned the incident and that he had to take a year off boating because of a knee injury. Then other lads there told me the full extent of it. He's a pretty phenomenal boater to be fair.

I paddled with the subject of this incident in the Aosta Valley in Italy. Needless to say he is very cautious about rocks at the bottom of drops now.

Wouldn't it be cool to have a big map in the shed with all the classic rivers that NUIGKC people past and present have done around the world..

With the likes of Ross in NZ, Ali's travels and various others it'd be pretty sweet!
