Re: Rivers We've done

I still reckon that big map of all the rivers that club members have done would be awesome! I know Barry and Higgs are staying around but if any of you want some info on any advanced runs. France The Gyr: Quite near the put in of the Durance Gorge. Awesome narrow run very like the Caher but much mor...

Re: Bowling Wednesday 18-03-15

Last time there was an official club trip to the bowling alley the club ended up with its own bowling ball. I expect nothing less.

Re: AGM

Wow lots of motions, I wont be there but theseare my thoughts. 1. That there be a position made for an environmental officer who would ensure that the club's biosecurity protocols are adhered to, that disinfection kits are managed and maintained and that a list of invasive species present on rivers ...

Re: Camp America

I'd say this is true for plenty of the stateside rafting companies but I'd be wary of showing up to the Ottawa this year without a pre-existing job? I won't say it's a terrible idea to turn up on the Ottawa looking for work, but I can't advise it either. Unequivocally depends on the person in quest...

Re: Camp America

I'm looking at working on white Salmon up on the border of Oregon & Washington. But if that doesn't pan out I may get onto you and you can call me the safest most responsible paddler this side of the Atlantic ;-) In other news, I got granted the option to spend a semester in California next Sept...

Re: FAO First Years: Gear Questions???

I would recommend buying BA's as new and I am just throwing in an evolving opinion on helmets. Helmets- Don't go cheap. If you plan on being a whitewater paddler save and buy a carbon Sweet protection helmet, end of, the rocker is the best helmet on the market don't try and be smart and save a hundr...

Re: Camp America

99.9% of camps will have flatwater kayaking as one small aspect of their programme. If you want to get kayaking done go to a WW area and work in a place with like minded people.
